Robert Kryger, who grew up in a Florida home filled with the captivating smell of citrus oils, the son of a prominent citrus flavor entrepreneur and chemist, sets out to document the history of this niche Florida industry, which produces much of the world’s natural citrus flavoring products.  Leveraging his technical expertise, family history, and access to industry leaders, in addition to a broad range of public and private records, Dr. Kryger details how and why this tight-knit, unassuming industry successfully developed in Florida, identifying the key people and circumstances responsible for its success.
